8 tips what to wear for a Family Photosession

Ideas, ideas, we need ideas!

It might be a difficult task but it's not, actually. I will guide you what to pay attention on and start looking at the right clothes.

Don't think too much about it. Read the following tips and choose up to three outfits you like. This can help you to narrow down your choices.

1. Keep it comfortable: Choose clothes that are comfortable and easy to move in. Avoid anything too tight or restrictive. Otherwise it will irritate you and you need to feel relaxed and enjoy the process, right?

2.   Coordinated colors: Coordinate your outfit colors with your family members. You don't have to wear matching outfits, but choosing colors that complement each other can make a big difference.

3.   Layers and textures: Adding layers and textures to your outfit can add depth and interest to the photos. Think about adding a scarf, jacket or hat.

4.   Avoid logos and writings: Avoid wearing clothes with logos or large patterns, as they can be distracting. Keep it as simple as possible.

5.  Neutral colors: Neutral colors like white, beige, creamy, and grey can create a classic and timeless look in photos. Blue and ochre colors are also a nice combination.

6.   Add pops of color: Add a pop of color to your outfit to add interest to the photos. You can do this with accessories like a colorful scarf, earrings,  hat or necklace.

7.  Consider the setting: Think about the colors and style of your home when choosing your outfit. You want your outfit to complement the setting. Is it your home? Look around and see what colors surround you. Is it outdoors? Beach, park or your backyard?

 8.  Be yourself. The last but most important advice! Wear clothes that reflect your personal style and make you feel comfortable and confident. You can choose whatever you want, just feel yourself in what you wear.

One more thing that might inspire you.

Do you like to watch movies?

If so, next time while watching any movie start noticing outfits the actors wear. The colour theme. Anything that you like or speaks to you? Do you have similar colors in your wardrobe?

You might want to take an idea from there. :)

I will share some of the movies I like to rewatch and get inspiration from. I mean, color themes and how they match it with an environment. It's not about the style (although there are good examples) but more about the combination of colours. Have a look.

The movies that I use here as an example are:

"Tree of life" 2011, by Terrence Malick

Becoming Jane" 2007, by Julian Jarrold

"Pride and Prejudice", 2005, by Joe Wright

"Atonement", 2007, by Joe Wright
